The University of Nottingham provides the Vice Chancellor's International Scholarship for Research Excellence to international students who want to study a full-time PhD or MPhil. What the award covers
The scholarship covers tuition fees and provides a £1,015 monthly living allowance. These awards are given in each year of your three-year PhD, as long as your progress is satisfactory.
Eligibility requirements
You can apply for this scholarship if you:
- are classed as an overseas student for fee purposes, and
- hold an offer to start a full-time PhD or MPhil in any subject except engineering at the University of Nottingham UK, with a start date between 1 October 2020 and 1 February 2021.
How to apply
Due to changes in the University's scholarship allocation following the Covid-19 pandemic, this scholarship will not be awarded in 2021.
You must apply for and receive an offer to study a full-time PhD before applying for this scholarship. Applications are made through the scholarships section of MyNottingham once you have received an offer to study. The closing date for scholarship applications is at midnight (UK time) on Friday 24 April 2020.
