JDS Scholarships for Developing Countries in Asia: Master's in Japan

Overview

The JDS Program gives citizens of ten Asian countries the chance to earn a Master's degree at Japanese universities. It is funded by the Government of Japan through Grant Aid assistance. The program is designed for young government officers in the public sector, researchers, and others who can become leaders in their fields after returning home. It also aims to help them take on leadership roles in their countries in the 21st century.

The fields supported vary by country. They include Public Administration, Business Administration, Economics and Finance, Law, Public Policy, International Relations, Information Technology, Industrial Development and other related fields.

Nationals of Kyrgyz Republic, Myanmar, Laos, Mongolia, Philippines, Republic of Uzbekistan, Republic of Tajikistan, Vietnam, Bangladesh, and Cambodia.

What the award covers

The scholarship covers institution expenses (tuition fees and admission fees), a traveling and seminar allowance, a book allowance, an arrival allowance, an accommodation allowance, daily expenses, a shipping allowance, and more.
