What the award covers

A global grant scholarship has a minimum budget of $30,000. That budget can cover passport and visa costs, inoculations, travel expenses as set out in the grant terms and conditions, school supplies, tuition, room and board, household supplies, and language training courses. Language training is not covered when university admission depends on improving language skills.

Most personal and miscellaneous expenses are not covered by the scholarship funding.

Eligibility requirements

Eligibility requirements vary. Check the scholarship page of the Rotary club or district where you plan to apply.

How to apply

Contact your local Rotary club through the Rotary Club Locator to ask how to be sponsored for the grant.

Global grant applications go in online. The sponsor club or district starts the application, then the scholar candidate fills in the scholar profile online.

Global grant scholarship applications are accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year, but submit at least three months before the scholar's intended departure date so the Foundation has time to review and process the file. Each Rotary club or district may follow its own timeline.
