Many universities worldwide offer scholarships for a Master's Degree, whether you study by coursework or by research. These awards exist to draw the strongest international graduate students to their campuses.

Gates Cambridge Scholarships (UK)
One of the most prestigious international scholarships anywhere. It goes to outstanding applicants from outside the UK who want a full-time postgraduate degree in any subject at the University of Cambridge. The award pays the full cost of studying at Cambridge and adds discretionary funding on top.

Clarendon Scholarships at University of Oxford (UK)
A major graduate scheme at Oxford, with around 140 new scholarships each year. Students from every country can apply, and selection rests on academic excellence and potential across all degree-bearing graduate subjects. Tuition and college fees are covered in full, plus a generous grant for living expenses.

Westminster Full Fee Scholarships for International Students (UK)
Westminster University gives a number of full tuition fee scholarships to exceptionally well-qualified students from inside the UK/EU or from other countries who want a full-time Master's Degree. This is a full tuition fee award only.

University of West England Chancellor's Scholarships (UK)
The University of the West of England, Bristol offers its Chancellor's Scholarship to one outstanding international student taking a Master's Degree there. The full tuition fee is covered.

Sheffield Hallam University Transform Together Scholarships (UK)
Open to international and European Union (non-UK) students applying for a full-time postgraduate taught course at Sheffield Hallam University. The award includes a full fee waiver.

La Trobe Academic Excellence Scholarships (Australia)
Targeted at high achieving international students from all countries except New Zealand, across all of La Trobe's postgraduate coursework programs. These are non-renewable tuition fee awards of $10,000-$20,000 paid across a maximum period of two semesters (or twelve months).

University of Sydney International Research Scholarships
The University of Sydney invites eligible candidates to apply for the University of Sydney International Research Scholarship (USydIS) to undertake a Master's by Research. It covers tuition fees and a living allowance for up to three years, with a possible one semester extension for PhD students.

Adelaide Scholarships International (Australia)
The University of Adelaide runs the Adelaide Scholarships International (ASI) program to bring high quality international postgraduate students into areas of research strength. The scholarship includes course tuition fees, an annual living allowance, and health insurance.

University of Manitoba Graduate Fellowships (Canada)
Merit-based awards open to students of any nationality who will be registered as full-time Masters students at the University of Manitoba. The fellowships are valued at $14,000 for a 12-month period.

ETH Excellence Scholarships (Switzerland)
Open to excellent students from ETH and from other universities, national and international, who wish to pursue a Master's degree at ETH Zurich. The scholarship is a full or partial grant covering living and study expenses, plus a tuition fee waiver.

University of Lausanne Master's Grant for Foreign Students (Switzerland)
The University of Lausanne offers the UNIL Master's Grants to international students pursuing a Master's Degree there. The grant is CHF 1,600.- per month from 15 September to 15 July, for a duration not exceeding the regulation minimum period of the programme.

University of Twente Scholarships (Netherlands)
University Twente Scholarships (UTS) are for excellent students from both EU/EEA and non-EU/EEA countries applying for a graduate programme (MSc) at the University of Twente. The amount is from € 6,000 to € 25,000 for one year.

École Normale Supérieure International Selection (France)
Each year the ENS runs an international selection that allows about thirty of the most promising international students, in Science or in Humanities, to follow a two or three-year course at the ENS. They receive a monthly stipend of approximately 1,000 Euros and accommodation on the ENS campus.

Schwarzman Scholars Program at Tsinghua University (China)
This program gives students from all countries the chance to build leadership skills and professional networks through a one-year Master's Degree at Tsinghua University in Beijing. The scholarship covers tuition and fees, room and board, travel costs, a personal stipend, health insurance, and more.

Leiden University Excellence Scholarships (Netherlands)
The Leiden University Excellence Scholarship Programme (LExS) is open to outstanding non-EU/EEA students pursuing any MA, MSc and LL.M programmes at Leiden University. Awards come as €10,000 of the tuition fee, €15,000 of the tuition fee, or total tuition fee minus the home fee.

University of Maastricht High Potential Scholarships (Netherlands)
Maastricht University (UM) offers the UM High Potential Scholarships to talented students from outside the EEA for any UM master's programme or graduate programme for professionals, except the School of Business and Economics. The scholarship covers tuition fee, living expenses per month, insurance, and visa costs.

Radboud University Scholarship Programme (Netherlands)
This programme gives a selected number of talented prospective non-EEA students the chance to pursue a complete English-taught Master's degree at Radboud University Nijmegen. It is a partial tuition waiver that brings the fee down to the level of an EEA student, and it also covers costs such as visa, residence permit, health insurance and liability insurance.

Utrecht University Excellence Scholarships (Netherlands)
The Utrecht Excellence Scholarship offers a number of outstanding prospective students from outside the EU the chance to pursue a Master's degree in eligible fields at Utrecht University. It covers the tuition fee and 10.000 euro living expenses per year.

Amsterdam Excellence Scholarships (Netherlands)
The Amsterdam Excellence Scholarships (AES) go to exceptionally talented students from outside the EU for eligible Master's Programmes at the University of Amsterdam. The AES is a full scholarship of €25,000 covering tuition and living expenses.

Lund University Global Scholarships for Non-EU/EEA Students (Sweden)
The Lund University Global Scholarship programme targets top academic students who are citizens of countries outside the European Union/European Economic Area (and Switzerland) and who are pursuing a Masters Degree at the University. The scholarship may cover 25%, 50%, 75% or 100% of the tuition fee. Living costs are not covered.

Uppsala IPK Scholarships (Sweden)
Uppsala University offers the Uppsala IPK scholarships to first year applicants from outside the EU/EEA who wish to pursue a Master's Degree Programme at the University. The scholarship covers the tuition fee.

University of Westminster International Scholarships (UK)
University of Westminster awards scholarships to eligible students from developing countries who want a full-time Masters degree in any field of study at the University of Westminster. The scholarship awards full tuition fee waivers, accommodation, living expenses and flights to and from London.

Developing Solutions Scholarships at University of Nottingham (UK)
These scholarships are designed for international students from Africa, India or one of the developing countries of the Commonwealth who want to study a Masters Degree at the University of Nottingham and make a difference to the development of their home country. Each year, 105 scholarships are awarded: 30 scholarships cover the full tuition fee while 75 cover 50% of the tuition fee.

Erik Bleumink Scholarships at University of Groningen (Netherlands)
The Erik Bleumink Fund Scholarships are open to selected developing countries for a 1 year or 2-year Master's degree programme at the University of Groningen. The grant covers the tuition fees plus the costs of international travel, subsistence, books, and health insurance.
