Eligibility requirements

The award is conditional on gaining entry to an AUT programme of at least 120 points (except for Study Abroad and GIE programmes).

Applicants must be full-fee paying international students, meaning they are not citizens, permanent residents or resident visa holders of New Zealand or Australia, or they are in the process of applying for those categories. They must hold a current and valid conditional or unconditional offer to study an AUT programme at Bachelors level or above (excluding doctoral, and at least 120 points). They should have an equivalent GPA of 6.0 out of 9.0 (B+ average) or above in their most recent qualification or programme.

Selection is based on academic merit. Returning AUT students (those who have already started study at AUT, excluding AUT International House GIE English pathway programmes) are not considered. The selection committee may also consider the applicant's country of origin to align with AUT's strategic aims. Applicants who have declared other scholarships, whether internal (awarded by AUT) or external (e.g. government scholarships), are considered case by case.
