Aarhus University administers a limited number of scholarships financed by the Danish state for highly qualified non-EU/EEA/Swiss applicants admitted to its Master’s degree programmes.

Typically, only one or two scholarships are offered for each of the Master’s degree programmes. At some faculties, strategic focus may be placed on selected degree programmes or applicants from specific countries.

What the award covers
The content of a scholarship varies per faculty:
- • Faculty of Arts: Tuition fee waiver + monthly grant towards living expenses
- • Aarhus BSS: Tuition fee waiver + monthly grant towards living expenses
- • Faculty of Natural Sciences: Tuition fee waiver
- • Faculty of Technical Sciences: Tuition fee waiver
Eligibility requirements
Only non-EU/EEA/Swiss applicants are eligible. Applicants must comply with the university’s general admission requirements and application procedures and deadlines.
How to apply
There is no separate application for the scholarship as all applicants will automatically be assessed for scholarships based on their applications. No additional documents are required. The application deadline for most Masters programme study for September 2026 intake is 15 January 2026 for non-EU/EEA/Swiss citizens.
