KU Leuven Global Minds pays tuition, a monthly allowance, insurance, travel and a research allowance; applicants must be nationals and residents of listed African, Asian or Latin American countries, hold a Master's awarded no more than ten years ago and have a grade equivalent to High Distinction. A second KU Leuven listing has the same deadline of 4 February 2027 at 17.00 GMT. Ghent University's doctoral award runs 48 months, with 24 funded by Ghent and 24 by a Global South partner, and requires a Ghent professor as promoter.
