Overview

The Endeavour Executive Fellowship is a short professional development award funded by the Australian Government. It supports high achievers in business, industry, education or government with a placement of one to four months.

The fellowship is built around learning on the job in a host work environment, not around formal study or academic research. Activities can include management training, peer-to-peer learning, mentoring, short courses and leadership development. Australians and non-Australians can both apply.

What the award covers

The fellowship provides up to $AUD 18,500. This includes a travel allowance of $AUD 3,000, an establishment allowance of $AUD 2,000, and a monthly stipend of $AUD 3,000, paid pro-rata up to the maximum duration for the category. Health and travel insurance are also covered.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible to receive an Endeavour Executive Fellowship, applicants must:

• be aged 18 years or over at the commencement of their programme

• be a citizen and/or permanent resident of a participating country (see above)

• commence their proposed programme after 1 January 2018 and no later than 30 November 2018. Applicants who have already commenced or will commence their intended programme prior to 2017 are not eligible to apply

• provide all relevant supporting documentation

• not currently hold or have completed, since 1 January 2016, an Australian Government sponsored scholarship and/or fellowship (directly administered to recipients by the Australian Government)

• not apply for a category in which they have already completed an Endeavour Scholarship or Fellowship.
