The University of Bern provides six Master Grants to students and alumni from its international partner universities. Each grant includes a monthly stipend of CHF 1600 and covers tuition fees for the full length of the Master's programme. The grants are for Master's study at the University of Bern in Switzerland, starting September 2016. Applications are currently closed.

Who can apply

Students and alumni of the University's international partners whose permanent place of residence is outside Switzerland.

What the award covers

Recipients receive a monthly stipend of CHF 1600. The Master Grant also covers tuition fees for the entire duration of studies.

Eligibility requirements

  • You have completed your Bachelor studies in the past five years or will complete them by 31 July 2016.
  • You are enrolled at a partner university of the University of Bern or have completed your Bachelor studies at a partner university within the last five years.
  • The Master's programme you choose must be in the same discipline as your Bachelor studies.
  • Your permanent place of residence must be outside Switzerland.
