Overview
The Orange Knowledge Programme (OKP) is a Dutch government initiative that funds short courses and master's degrees in the Netherlands for professionals from selected developing countries. It covers costs such as living expenses, tuition, visa, travel, and insurance, but you must cover any gap between the scholarship and actual costs. The scholarship is open to nationals of specific countries who are working in those countries.
Awarded by
Dutch universities that offer OKP-qualified programmes and courses.
Subjects and level
Scholarships support two types of study: short courses and master's programmes. Short courses last from 2 weeks to 12 months in round 1, and 2 weeks to 7 months in round 2. Master's programmes last 12 to 24 months.
All eligible courses are listed in Studyfinder, using the filter 'OKP qualified – Yes'. Contact details for the institutions are also there.
The programme's main priority areas are sexual and reproductive health and rights; security and rule of law; food and nutrition security; and water management. Each country has its own focus areas.
