The Singapore Government funds the Singapore International Graduate Award (SINGA), a PhD award open to all international graduates. NUS runs two Commonwealth Scholarships, one general and one for integrative sciences and engineering, and the Lee Foundation funds the Lee Kong Chian Graduate Scholarships. INSEAD accounts for two MBA awards, and the ADB and Japan Government fund the ADB-Japan Scholarship Program. SEARCA and S P Jain complete the list.
The Global Business Scholarship at S P Jain is the only Bachelor's award and covers tuition only, from US$3,000 to US$18,000 per year. PhD awards pay monthly stipends: SINGA gives S$2,700-3,200 plus a S$1,000 settlement allowance and up to S$1,500 airfare; Lee Kong Chian gives S$3,300 plus a S$500 book allowance and up to S$4,000 in air travel. The ADB-JSP covers full tuition, housing, insurance and travel.
Most awards require admission first. The ADB-JSP is for citizens of ADB borrowing member countries who hold an offer at a designated institution. The Commonwealth Scholarships exclude Singapore citizens and PRs. SEARCA is open to SEAMEO nationals who are regular employees of academic or research institutions and aged 40 or under for Master's, 45 for PhD. INSEAD's Nelson Mandela and Greendale awards are for African nationals.
10 scholarships are listed, hosted by 9 different organisations. 6 are at Master's level and 5 at PhD level, with 1 Bachelor's award.
The Lee Kong Chian Graduate Scholarships at NUS are open to all nationalities. SINGA is open to all international graduates.
SINGA covers full tuition fees, a monthly stipend of S$2,700-3,200, a S$1,000 settlement allowance and an airfare grant of up to S$1,500 for up to 4 years of PhD study.
