Universities offer tuition fee scholarships to strong international students. These awards usually come as full or partial tuition waivers. They are the most common type of international scholarship and sit just below fully funded scholarships in value. Some universities are also tuition free universities.

  • ICSP Tuition Scholarships at University of Oregon (USA)
    International students with financial need and exceptional merit may apply for the International Cultural Service Program (ICSP) at the University of Oregon. The ICSP scholarship includes a cultural service part: you give presentations about your home country to children, community organizations, and UO students, faculty and staff. The award is a tuition waiver worth $9,000 to $27,000.
  • UCL Global Undergraduate Scholarships (UK)
    This scholarship helps international students from low income backgrounds take a full-time undergraduate degree at UCL. There are 10 awards of full tuition fees and maintenance, and 20 awards of full tuition fees. The scholarship lasts for the normal duration of the programme.

  • Macquarie Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarships (Australia)
    This award gives a partial tuition fee scholarship to outstanding students for an undergraduate or postgraduate degree at Macquarie University North Ryde campus. The amount varies up to AUD$10,000.
  • Bristol University Think Big Scholarships (UK)
    Bristol University is investing £500,000 to bring bright international students to the University of Bristol for any full-time undergraduate programme (except Medicine, Dentistry and Veterinary Science) or postgraduate programme. The awards cover between 25 and 100 per cent of tuition fees.
  • University of West London International Ambassador Scholarships (UK)
    This scholarship recognises outstanding students who want to pursue a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate degree at University of West London and gives them financial support. Scholarships are worth up to £5,000 and can go toward tuition fees.
  • Glasgow International Leadership Scholarships (UK)
    The University of Glasgow has 70 International Leadership Scholarships for international (non-EU) students starting a postgraduate taught Masters programme in any discipline for Academic Session 2021-22. The scholarship is a tuition fees discount worth £10,000.
  • University of Sussex Chancellor’s Scholarships (UK)
    University of Sussex Chancellor’s International Scholarships are available in most Sussex Schools. They are awarded on academic performance and potential to non-EU international students who have applied for and been offered a place on eligible full-time Postgraduate Taught degrees at the University of Sussex. The scholarship is 50% off international student tuition fee and is offered for one year.
  • Leiden University Excellence Scholarships for Non-EU Students (Netherlands)
    The Leiden University Excellence Scholarship Programme (LExS) is open to outstanding Non-EU/EEA students enrolling in a master’s degree programme at Leiden University. The scholarships come as: €10,000 of the tuition fee, €15,000 of the tuition fee, or total tuition fee minus the home fee.
  • Radboud Scholarship Programme for Non-EU Students (Netherlands)
    The Radboud Scholarship Programme offers a selected number of talented prospective non-EEA students the chance to receive a scholarship for a complete English-taught Master’s degree programme at Radboud University Nijmegen. The scholarship is not money paid into your bank account; it is a partial tuition waiver. The tuition fee is waived to the level of an EEA student. The Radboud Scholarship also covers costs such as visa, residence permit, health insurance and liability insurance.
  • Lund University Global Scholarships for Non-EU/EEA Students (Sweden)
    The Lund University Global Scholarship programme is for top academic students who are citizens of countries outside the European Union/European Economic Area (and Switzerland) and who want to pursue a Bachelors or Masters Degree Programme at the University. The scholarships may cover 25%, 50%, 75% or 100% of the tuition fee.
  • Emily Boutmy Scholarships for International Students (France)
    The Emile Boutmy Scholarship is awarded to top international students from outside the EU who are applying for eligible Bachelor’s or Master’s Programme at the University. The scholarships can take different forms of tuition grants ranging from €5,000 to €10,000 for 2 years of postgraduate study or €3,000 to €19,000 for 3 years of undergraduate study.
  • Bocconi Graduate Merit Awards (Italy)
    Bocconi Merit Awards are offered by Bocconi University for international students who are first graduate applicants, based on their academic standing. The Merit Award includes a full tuition and fees waiver.
  • Griffith Remarkable Scholarship (Australia)
    Griffith University offers the Griffith Remarkable Scholarship for exceptional students applying for undergraduate and postgraduate coursework studies at Griffith University. The scholarship covers 50% of tuition fees, deducted from the tuition fees for the duration of the program.
  • Adelaide Global Academic Excellence Scholarships for International Students (Australia)
    The 2021-2025 University of Adelaide Global Academic Excellence Scholarship (International) is a highly competitive award for commencing undergraduate and postgraduate coursework international students who have demonstrated academic excellence in previous studies. The scholarship is a 50% reduction of the tuition fee.
  • CDU Vice-Chancellor’s International High Achievers Scholarships (Australia)
    Charles Darwin University (CDU) offers the Vice-Chancellor’s International High Achievers Scholarships to international students with a record of academic excellence and high achievement who are seeking to commence an Undergraduate or Postgraduate coursework degree at CDU. The scholarship covers 25% or 50% of the tuition fee.
  • Tongarewa Scholarship at Victoria University of Wellington (New Zealand)
    The Victoria University of Wellington offers the Tongarewa Scholarship to eligible international applicants entering their first year of an undergraduate degree or entering a postgraduate degree programme at Victoria University of Wellington. The scholarships range from NZ$5,000 to NZ$10,000. This is a partial fee-based scholarship paid towards your tuition fees for 1 year of study.

  • Nottingham Developing Solutions Scholarships (UK)
    The Developing Solutions Scholarships are for international students from Africa, India or one of the developing countries of the Commonwealth who want to study a Masters Degree at the University of Nottingham and make a difference to the development of their home country. Each year, 105 scholarships are awarded: 30 scholarships cover the full tuition fee while 75 cover 50% of the tuition fee.
