What the award covers
Each Faculty awards 2 scholarships, each a 50% reduction of the tuition fee. They go to the applicants with the highest score above an ATAR of 98 or a GPA of 6.8. The scholarship lasts for the minimum standard full-time duration of the chosen undergraduate or postgraduate program.
The payment takes the form of a tuition fee waiver. The scholarship does not cover visas, Overseas Student Health Cover, travel, accommodation, living expenses, books and study materials, or any other costs linked to living in Adelaide or studying at the University of Adelaide.
Eligibility requirements
You can apply if you are starting study in AY 2020 as a direct-entry international undergraduate or postgraduate coursework student. This includes students who must complete a Pre-Enrolment English Program (PEP) before their degree begins. Citizens of any country may apply, except citizens of Australia and New Zealand.
Selection is based on academic achievement. As a general guide, the University of Adelaide considers applicants who reach an academic level on par with the following:
• For undergraduate programs: Raw ATAR of 98 OR its equivalent.
• For postgraduate coursework programs: A GPA 6.8 out of 7 or its equivalent.
If you qualify for more than 1 scholarship offered by the University of Adelaide, you can receive only 1: the highest value award you are eligible for.
Who should apply
This award suits international students with top academic results who are about to begin an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework program at the University of Adelaide. It fits best if you are not a citizen of Australia or New Zealand and you are entering directly, or after a Pre-Enrolment English Program.
Check the excluded program list first. If your program is not on it, and your results sit at or above the stated ATAR or GPA guide, the scholarship is worth having on your list.
