Who can apply

All students can apply, including international students. Students who have already started a Master programme at the Faculty of Science can no longer apply for the Excellence Master Fellowship.

What the award covers

The award is worth CHF 10,000-15,000 per year. It is granted for one year first. It is then extended for the regular duration of the Master's programme you choose, which is three or four semesters, as long as you are academically successful at the end of your first semester of studies.

Who should apply

This suits you if you are near the top of your year in your bachelor studies, whether you have already finished that degree or are still completing it, and your home university does not matter. You also need to meet the admission criteria of the Master of your choice, because the fellowship is tied to that admission.

Eligibility requirements

Your home university does not matter. What counts is a brilliant bachelor degree, completed or in progress, and a place among the best in your year. You must meet the admission criteria of the Master of your choice. Selection for an Excellence Fellowship is made on the basis of your application file. Students who have already started a Master programme at the Faculty of Science can no longer apply for the Excellence Master Fellowship.
